Pearl Haven is a residential treatment program program primarily serving girls ages 11–18 whose trauma may be rooted in abuse, neglect, family disruption, grief, violence, exploitation, trafficking, or other complex life experiences.

Located near the shores of O'ahu, Pearl Haven was created for young people who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances. For those who need more than traditional treatment alone. Here, trauma-informed clinical care is held within the rhythm of Hawai'i and a community trained to see the whole person.

Our program
Healing at Pearl Haven combines clinical care with experiential programs that help youth rebuild trust, confidence, and connection. Through equine therapy, surf, music, arts and culture, culinary experiences, and gardening, young people are supported through a continuum of care designed to foster long-term healing and resilience.

Submit a completed referral packet and supporting documentation to our admissions team. Pearl Haven will review fit, coordinate with the placing agency, and schedule the next step.

The Pearl Haven team reviews the referral and coordinates with the youth's placing agency. Clinical review is completed within 48 hours.
A meeting is scheduled to discuss fit, needs, documentation, and next steps toward placement.
Completion of the referral packet and/or youth interview does not guarantee admission to Pearl Haven. If a youth is not admitted, staff will make reasonable efforts to refer the youth to an appropriate service. The person contacted and the outcome of the referral will be documented. Pearl Haven protects the confidentiality of referrals and cannot release information without guardian approval.
